United Arab Emirates (Arabic: الإمارات العربية المتحدة Al-Imārāt al-'Arabiya al-Muttahida), or just Arab Emirates or UAELocation: sovereign country or federation Middle East, located on the Arabian Peninsula, whose form of government is federal constitutional monarchy. Its territory is composed of seven emirates: Abu Dhabi, Ajman, Dubai, Fujairah, Ras al-Khaimah, Sharjah and Umm al-Quwain. Southeast borders Oman and Saudi Arabia to the west and south.

Abu Dhabi has strived to become an art center of international level, by creating a culture district on Saadiyat Island. For the island six major projects are planned: the Sheikh Zayed National Museum designed by Foster and Partners, the modern art museum Guggenheim Abu Dhabi to be built by Frank Gehry, the classical museum Louvre Abu Dhabi by Jean Nouvel, one maritime museum by Tadao Ando, a Performing Arts Center by Zaha Hadid, and Biennale Park with 16 pavilions.
